MyInstantSound stores the account details you submit and favorites for signed-in users. A play is counted only after the audio starts. Each play event can include the account id when someone is signed in, a keyed hash of the network address, a keyed hash of the browser session, a keyed hash of the browser name, the selected language, and a country code. The raw network address is not stored in the ranking log, and the site does not ask for precise device location. The same network address and the same sound add at most one counted play every 24 hours. Signed-in accounts are also limited to one counted play for that sound in the same period. The sound still plays when a repeat is not counted. Detailed play events are deleted after 90 days. The public play number is the count of plays that were accepted. A signed-in play is linked to the account, so it is not anonymous. Passwords are hashed. Guest favorites stay in the browser until sign-in. This page can be replaced from the admin panel.
